Here at Heritage & Joinerystore we manufacture our own range of solid oak flooring. Rather than restrict you we let you choose every aspect of the floor to create a truly bespoke flooring to suit your specific requirements.
Real solid oak produces a floor that cannot be bettered even with engineered flooring, even though we try! The depth of character of the floor is completely unsurpassed, and it simply improves with age. If you can use solid oak flooring in your home we strongly urge you to consider it. Produced in long lengths, as it should be, our oak flooring creates a timeless feel to your home and will still be there for future generations to use.
We prefer to let you choose your own floor, its a simple step by step process and at the end you get the Solid Oak Flooring to suit your specification. You can create your own floor by selecting from the product attributes at the bottom of the page: Please do call us if you'd like advice on any aspect of your oak flooring.

Rustic Grade
For this flooring we use a rustic grade American white oak. We make sure to leave as much of the character in as we can, although boards with the largest features are put into our Tavern offer. Some planks will contain a few small knots, while others may contain larger rustic knots which may require some filling, or can be trimmed during fitting if you prefer. The overall effect shows a pleasing scattering of knots and colour variation with plentiful character, and perfectly reminiscent of an original period oak floorboard.
The overall colour of the rustic grade is a warm brown, but light sapwood and some mineral colour are allowed within the rustic grade. Boards may contain some or all of the following features:- small and large knots, cracked knots, burrs, colour variation, an occasional crack, split, shake and smallish hole. Pin worm and grub worm holes and in un-trimmed planks there will be some minor end split which can be trimmed as the boards are layed. We have a large stock of the product and a showroom at our Sheffield site and would be pleased to show you this flooring in detail.
