TIMBER
Timber is a natural material and as such has certain characteristics which are beyond the control of any supplier of timber products. Detailed below are the two major factors which may affect our products.
ACCLIMITISATION
As timber is susceptible to changes in both temperature and humidity we recommend that all timber products are left in the room in which they are to be installed for a minimum of 48 Hours prior to installation. This will allow the timber to acclimatise to the temperature and humidity of that room. Failure to do this runs the risk of the timber expanding or contracting after installation which can lead to the product becoming damaged or even unsafe.
COLOUR VARIATION
As timber is a natural material it is susceptible to slight colour variations. Joinerystore goes to great effort to ensure that any timber products shipped to our customers match as closely as possible.
